Video 8 - Features MXIC

The MXIC function ensures safety in manual operation and prevents operating errors, thereby increasing the efficiency of industrial processes. MXIC helps minimize safety risks.

Manual operation of machines allows certain functions and movements to be performed manually during operation. This is particularly useful for maintenance, configuring certain tasks, or troubleshooting. However, extreme caution must be exercised, as full responsibility for controlling the machine lies with the operators, who must minimize safety risks.

This is where MXIC comes in!

This function prevents possible operating errors and ensures that certain manual movements can only be carried out under defined conditions. By linking manual functions to the corresponding zones, it is possible to determine which zones must be active for a manual movement to take place. This ensures that any manual movement is performed in a safe environment, which is crucial in critical applications to avoid dangerous situations.

If an attempt is made to perform a blocked hand movement, it is automatically blocked. At the same time, the HMI displays why the movement cannot be carried out. This ensures the safety of personnel and avoids potential risks.

This video shows not only how MXIC works, but also how to use the technology correctly to ensure safe manual operation in systems. This knowledge is essential for industrial automation professionals to optimize operations while maintaining the highest safety standards.

In the next video, we explore the CMZ function, which is critical to the safety and protection of individuals and machinery. We explain how this feature ensures safe operation and minimizes potential hazards.
