This article deals with the control of two valves to move a cylinder, whereby the process is similar to the single-acting example. The parameters are assigned in the system layer.
In this case, two InOut zones are used to control the cylinder. The process is the same as in the single-acting (spring-return) example. To extend the cylinder, the valve is actuated, and retraction takes place in the same way. If the cylinder is to remain extended, the valve must remain activated.
Two InOut zones are inserted in the system layer, one for the work position and the other for the home position. In the work position, the cylinder is monitored with an I - Interlock check.
